Working with Parents Who Were Traumatized as Children

Parenting when you endured trauma as a child is hard. This workshop explores the ways that trauma impacts a parent's emotional responses, discipline style, and overall approach to engaging their children.

Learning Objectives:

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  1. Understand the Connection Between Trauma and Parenting: Recognize how past trauma influences emotional responses, attachment styles, and parenting behaviors.
  2. Identify Trauma Triggers in Parenting: Learn to recognize specific situations that may activate past trauma and impact parenting interactions.

This workshop is designed for clinicians working with parents who are survivors of childhood trauma.
